Weight:
Pomeranians are a popular toy breed weighing 3-7 pounds by AKC standard.
Here at Pommies of LA we don't use words like “ teacup . MIcro, xxs or mini” due to the fact that those are marketing terms used by scammers. Pomeranians come in all sizes and anything over 7 pounds is considered a throwback meaning more so like the descendants the pomeranians we know of today originated from.
To get an estimated size of our puppies we weigh them from the day they are born to the day they go home.
Coat and Grooming
The breed is double coated: Undercoat is a soft dense cotton-like coat with Guard hair being long harsh-textured hair. When grooming a pomeranian I recommend my clients to take their time and brush out the coat with a couple different brushes including a metal comb and a slicker brush and line brush them which is separating the coat in sections to make sure to not miss any matting and of course to brush with dematting spray to not damage the coat. Pomeranians have a huge coat naturally and are susceptible to alopecia, shaving a pomeranian is not recommended.
Behavior
We highly believe that the way a dog is raised and introduced into the world plays a major part in their behavior development. When our puppies are born we are very hands on during delivery which is the beginning to socializing babies.
As our puppies grow they are introduced to many different sounds, textures and situations to help them get used to everyday things. Socialization is a job that the breeder starts and the family continues.
Health
Poms are prone to fluctuating patellas therefore it is something breeders have to work towards to breed out of the breed. Puppies are very active and playful by the time they go home but I like to remind my families to be careful with puppies, we want to avoid jumping around too much to prevent breaking a bone and hurting their joints.
Our puppies go home vaccinated, Dewormed and Microchipped. Please remember to register the microchip in case your new furry friend gets lost it is easier to bring them home.
Deworming is done at 2,4,6 and 8 weeks. Puppies go home with 1-2 sets of shots depending on age at go-home date.
Our puppies go home with a gift basket that includes all puppy essentials you need like: Potty pads, potty pad tray, shampoo, their leash and harness (We don't use collars for pomeranians unless for tags only due to collapse trachea prevention), combs and slicker brushes, tooth brushes, chew toys, bowls and food they've been eating to start mixing with their new food to transition them slowly. Transitioning food slowly helps prevent diarrhea or upset stomach
Spay or neuter should be done when they are over a year old or when they have stopped growing to not stunt their growth
I am also always available for any advice you'd need as the puppy grows up.

Yes! a deposit helps secure the puppy of your choice. Deposits are non-refundable but transferable to a different litter if something were to happen to the puppy reserved. Deposit is counted towards the total cost of the puppy.
